About Lesson
  • It is the process of formation of protein from RNA.
  • The synthesis of protein can be divided into three phases:

a) Initiation:

  • It is done by formation of a complex between mRNA, two ribosomal subunits and the tRNA carrying the initiating amino acids.

b) Elongation:

  • A repeated cycle of amino acyl-tRNA binding, addition of AA to the C-terminal and release of t-RNA.

c) Termination:

  • It occurs by the release of complete polypeptide.
