About Lesson

– It is the rate of internal chemical activity of resting tissue.

– BMR measures the energy used over 24 hrs while physically lying down and mentally resting in thermoneutral environment (no shivering and sweating).

– The measurements are taken early in the morning before any physical activity and 10-12 hrs after eating, drinking or smoking.
