- This reaction occurs with the help of amino transferase enzymes.
- Deamination :
- Involves removal of amine group from amino acid and convert into acid.
- Decarboxylation:
- It is the removal of carboxylic acid group from amino acid by the presence of decarboxylase enzyme.
