a) Etiology:

  • Eimeria tenella

b) Symptoms:

  • Sudden onset of bloody diarrhea
  • Fever followed by dehydration, emaciation and death
  • Comb and wattles become pale
  • Death of 5th-7th day of infection
  • Loss of egg production

c) Prevention:

  • Isolation of animal from herd
  • Prevent over crowding
  • Proper management of diet
